ITV reconstruction of the Stockwell shooting - De Menezes

ITV reconstruction of the Stockwell shooting - De MenezesITV News journalists obtained documents and photos from the investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, and discovered that the man had not tried to run away from police and that they made a number of mistakes in their surveillance operation. De Menezes was shot dead by armed police on the morning of July 22. At the time, police, who thought he was a suicide bomber, said he had attempted to evade them by running away and jumping over a ticket barrier.

Tellycars was very pleased to have provided ITV with many of the Props and Costumes for it's forthcoming ITV drama, "Stockwell", which follows the police on the day of the tragic shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes - we also provided firearms and vehicles to help with the reconstruction.

Motorola donates MTH800 TETRA Enabled Radios to TellycarsMotorola MTH800 TETRA Enabled Radios

Tellycars are moving into the digital age with the help and support of Motorola UK. Motorola UK have donated a consignment of MTH800 TETRA enabled radios for our props department.

Since late 2005, the UK police have been rolling out the new digital system across the country and we have started to see it gradually worked into TV and film. However many modern productions are still using old and outdated radios. The MTH800 has a colour screen and GPS capabilities as well as built in mobile phone, oh and it works as a radio as well. The radios have already been featured on ‘The Bill’ and ‘On a Knife Edge’.
